Other Animals

Could you give one of our animals a home?

Wilma:
Meet Wilma, a large pig that needs a home with plenty of space.

Socks & Spots:
Hello, we are Socks and Spot. We were bought as little piglets, but we grew and grew! Our previous owners were unable to cope in all the winter rain and we were left standing knee deep in water. Our luck has now changed and we have a lovely paddock and a nice warm shelter.  However, we need a new home, as we are in an emergency paddock and need somewhere with good sleeping quarters and a well fenced paddock. Our new owners will need to have a holding licence in place.

Guinea pigs need a draught proof hutch placed in a sheltered position, out of direct sunlight, with a private bedroom to rest and sleep in. It is best to place the hutch on a table so that they can see you when you are feeding them and cleaning their cage. They enjoy a pen on the grass in the nice weather with a box inside to hide in. Always ensure that hutch doors are locked to avoid accidental escape or access to predators, such as foxes. Guinea Pigs need a balanced diet of formulated guinea pig food and hay daily. The food must contain vitamin c as guinea pigs cannot generate their own, plus carrots, cabbage and apples to gnaw on. They love being talked to and chatter away.

William:
A little Dartmoor Pony, gelding, is about 10 years old. He is a chirpy chap who would make a good companion to another pony or horse. He needs a well fenced paddock and shelter or stable where someone lives on-site.

We have an abundance of baby rabbits looking for caring homes with good accommodation.
