Welcome to our Web Site

During the last week, we have had two Staffie-type dogs and two starving rabbits with dirty, matted fur abandoned in our car park. If the rabbits had been left just a day later, they would not have survived. We have also recently taken in a very gentle greyhound bitch, a middle-aged German Shepherd bitch, a Bedlington Terrier cross and a Staffie cross with big ears.

As no owners have come forward, they are all now looking for good homes.

Pet Micro-chipping. This is a great scheme that can reunite pets and their owners. It is not unusual for micro-chipped animals to come into the sanctuary, and we can thankfully get them back to their owner. However it can only be effective if you remember to keep your details updated, so if you change address or pass the care of your animal to someone else, please update the details with your chip provider. Similarly, if you buy a puppy from a breeder, check whether the puppy has been chipped and update the details. Micro-chipping is a simple procedure and can be carried out by your local vet.

Homes are sometimes needed for dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, mice, rats and other animals. If you could offer a loving home to one of our animals, please contact us.
